A couple of months ago I was introduced to POD CASTS. They are kinda the best! Today I downloaded The Charged Life by Brendon Burchard. After 10 minutes I was inspired! He was able to communicate exactly what I've been struggling with and maybe you have too.
Before I started this blog I felted trapped. The life I lived didn't suck but I was no where near where I wanted to be. The things I wanted seemed out of reach. I was living a "caged" life. I'd created imaginary limitations that only existed in my mind. Realizing this gave me the motivation I needed to transform my life. I made a list of things I wanted to do and blew my F-ing mind. I completely redesigned my lifestyle. I went from having someone make my work schedule to making my own schedule. I quadruped my income. I bought my first new car and moved by the beach. I started traveling and doing things I never thought I could. Life became a little bit sweeter.... And then it started to feel like something was missing... We think that comfort is what we really want. We tell ourselves that once we have comfort then we'll be happy. However, neuroscience has proven that what actually brings our brains alive and makes us happy isn't a state of comfort but in fact challenge.
Here are 3 types of life (what life do you live?)
The Caged Life- You're trapped in your past, other's expectations or your own limitations.
The Comfortable Life- You have a sense of satisfaction with life but you may feel like something is missing...
The Charged Life- You are constantly challenged. Never overwhelmed , never bored. You want for nothing because it feels as if you have it all.
Wherever you are in life you can always get to where you want to be. Don't let anyone tell you you can't. Trust me, I know. 5 years ago I moved to California with no money, no job and slept on an air mattress on the floor. Follow your dreams, you can have anything you want!
